MMS towers are designed to be installed quickly and easily, with its solutions capable of being erected in a couple of days to just a few hours depending on the deployment.
In what was the company’s last deployment before the end of the year, MMS helped the utility firm upgrade its existing mast, installing the new permanent tower at speed.
The site itself was a utility substation, which is not only a sensitive site but required efficient planning and coordination given potential health and safety considerations.
James Pickance, CEO of MMS, told TowerXchange that the entire operation took just two days — with the base installed on day one and the 24-metre mast in place on the second.
The mast itself can be increased with minimum disruption as MMS’ innovative design enables it to easily increase or decrease towers to meet both the customer and landowners' needs.
MMS’ masts are non-ground intrusive, meaning the firm can deploy their structures without breaking ground, a process that minimises disruption to the surrounding environment and significantly reduces installation time.
Burton said the substation development provided the utility company with a flexible solution that can be upgraded and extended in height in the future, adding: “We’ve got plenty more coming in 2025.”
