DNA, Telenor's operator in Finland, is demerging its Finnish towerco into regional towerco Telenor Towers

Telenor Towers Nordics is cleaning up its organisational structure by incorporating DNA Tower under the Telenor Towers Nordic Business. The restructuring was approved by DNA's shareholder on 13 November 2024 and will take effect from 1 January 2025.

Telenor Nordics operates across Telenor’s four Nordic markets, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark. The demerger from DNA into Telenor Towers Nordic aligns The operator with its towerco across three markets.

Telenor Tower Nordic's European footprint

In Denmark Telenor's network assets are held jointly with Telia under TT-Networks. TowerXchange is aware of no current plans to bring this under Telenor Nordic Towers. However any monetisation of the towerco would be easier with a more conventional structure across all its markets.

DNA Tower Finland is led by Antti Koskinen, with Jussi Tolonen as Head of finance, Topi Martin as Head of commercial and Jere Tuominen as Head of Network Premises. Telenor described this as an internal restructuring which will not impact DNA’s operations.
