TowerXchange: Who is MIDC? As one of the world’s youngest towercos, tell us about how the business came to be.

MIDC is the towerco entity of MIESCOR, an infrastructure company owned by Meralco. Let’s break that down a bit! Meralco is the largest power distribution company in the Philippines. I think we are all used to towercos being formed by infrastructure investment fund organisations or through carveouts from Mobile Network Operators, but it is perhaps a bit more unique that a utilities company has formed a towerco.
