As the telecommunications industry continues to struggle to identify effective RMS solutions, Cattleya Technosys offers an holistic set of technology and services proven in financial services. With over 9,000 assets already under management, Cattleya Technosys is differentiated by their combination of surveillance, intelligence and quick response.
TowerXchange: Please introduce Cattleya Technosys to our readers.
Lakshmeesh Sridharan, Vice President – International Sales, Cattleya Technosys:
Cattleya Technosys is an IoT Technology based, product company in the business of electronics and video surveillance, central monitoring, command and control center services, asset control and analytics backed by closed loop operations.
Our customer offering is holistic – combining technology and services for the central observatory with a quick response and on-ground services team.
We are a part of a 42-year-old business group specialising in loss prevention, risk mitigation and operations and maintenance. The core team at Cattleya have over 100 combined years of experience and expertise in telemetry, telematics, M2M and IoT solutions for varied industry adaptations.
TowerXchange: The first question our readers always want us to ask is ‘how proven is the solution in the field?’
Lakshmeesh Sridharan, Vice President – International Sales, Cattleya Technosys:
“NISAEYE” our combined solution and service is currently managing over 9,000 asset sites in banking, government, telecom (tower and retail offices) and corporate real estate businesses. We currently enjoy long term contracts ranging between three and seven years to deploy, monitor, manage and support the implementations. The tenure and comprehensiveness of the contracts signed off by the clients indicate the robustness of our solutions and services.
TowerXchange: How do the Key Performance Indicators and remote monitoring requirements of telecom clients differ from financial services, and how have you adapted your offering to meet those requirements?
Lakshmeesh Sridharan, Vice President – International Sales, Cattleya Technosys:
Broadly speaking, the purpose of RMS in telecom sectors today is to primarily transport passive infrastructure asset linked alarms, energy data and in certain instances the exercise of control over power related assets and access to sites. This is a sub-set of the overall solution offered by us to the financial sector. e-Surveillance, central monitoring services to the financial services sector are designed to fulfil the above plus manage electronic security, asset tagging, management of assets, energy and environmental hygiene apart from enabling video and audio bridges to all the geographically distributed sites for surveillance, response and customer interfaces. Data representation and analytics for data representation, anomaly detection and event predictions are integral to providing services in financial and commercial real estate sectors.
Our on-ground services provide rapid response against events, periodic visits to manage infra, facilities or service assets.
The gravity of each of certain events are higher for banks in comparison to tower sites hence the onsite action to be taken with escalation will vary. Our adaptation between the deployments is a mere re-configuration of the onboard rules engine and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to the appropriate observatory personnel in the central monitoring, command and control center.
TowerXchange: How do you translate remote monitoring data into actionable intelligence?
Lakshmeesh Sridharan, Vice President – International Sales, Cattleya Technosys:
Intrusion in an ATM / bank branch is viewed as a very serious event with resultant steps being; blow hooter at the site, notify police and bank authorities, and dispatch our quick response team to the site to deter the intrusion.
Similarly for a telco tower which has a high alert alarm against the enclosure temperature increasing beyond recommendation with resultant steps being; turn on standby a/c, regulate a/c temperature, start emergency ventilation fans, check on energy bank charge and dispatch O&M team to check the cause.
In each of the cases, data leading to the situation is captured, sifted through and enabled as on-time event information at present and will move to early warnings going forward with the associated improvement in machine learning. Our analytics layer renders reports and data representations to the client with recommendations.
TowerXchange: What are the benefits of effective remote monitoring?
Lakshmeesh Sridharan, Vice President – International Sales, Cattleya Technosys:
Infrastructure proliferation signifies increased complexity of functions like maintainability, security, continuity, zero physical presence and scalability.
IoT based e-surveillance, central monitoring at the command and control centre, coupled with the on-ground response enable management of events, addresses business complexities and needs and provides a new means of interactive operations or customer experience by leveraging video, data, mobility and analytics.
Automating event response and data representation for business benefits are two highlight client impacts, resulting in people efficiency improvement, asset health management and operational cost monitoring.
TowerXchange: How would you differentiate Cattleya Technosys from the other leading RMS solutions used in telecom such as AIO Systems, Galooli, Invendis, Jabil Inala, Telemisis, Westell
and ZNV?
Lakshmeesh Sridharan, Vice President – International Sales, Cattleya Technosys:
The offerings covering electronic security, bi-directional video and audio interfaces, energy, asset, facility, O&M enabled by leveraging video, data, mobility and analytics backed by on-ground responses offered as a managed service is the key to an upsurge of deployments and acceptance of our IoT based solutions. This allows clients to work with a single vendor having the ability to scale in a short time, which is one of our key advantages.
We not only provide preventive and pro-active maintenance alerts but also provide insight into predictive maintenance using data mining and machine learning techniques, which can predict equipment failures et cetera based on past historic data. Our AI coupled with machine learning keeps improving over a period of time in both security of the sites and in increasing operational efficiency by identifying probable failures at a very early stage.
